Make His Praise Glorious

Mrs. C. H. Morris • English

Primary Scripture: Psalm 66:2

Verse 1

Praises, sing praises to Jesus our blessed Redeemer, Let ev’ry voice to him now a sweet melody raise; Come ye before him, O worship and laud and adore him, Lo, he is worthy our highest ascriptions of praise.

Chorus

Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Throughout the world be his great name adored, Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Let ev’ry thing that have breath praise the Lord.

Verse 2

Praise for the mercy which sought us when far we were straying, Sought till he found us and bound us with strong cords of love; Praise for salvation, this wonderful, blest revelation, He who redeems us, carnality too, will remove.

Chorus

Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Throughout the world be his great name adored, Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Let ev’ry thing that have breath praise the Lord.

Verse 3

Praises, sing praises, for glory out bosoms o’erflowing, When in his fulness the Comforter comes to abide; Praise for salvation, lost sinners to Calvary pointing, Power for service, now freely and fully supplied.

Chorus

Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Throughout the world be his great name adored, Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Let ev’ry thing that have breath praise the Lord.

Verse 4

Praises, sing praises, our wondering eyes shall behold him, When in his beauty King Jesus descendeth to reign; Coming in glory, O tell out the wonderful story, Sing hallelujah! the Saviour is coming again.

Chorus

Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Throughout the world be his great name adored, Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Let ev’ry thing that have breath praise the Lord.

Verse 5

Praise for the grace which is able to keep us from falling, And to present us all faultless before the white throne; ’Mid joys supernal to praise him through ages eternal, All the redeem’d ones, the blood-wash’d, his lov’d and his own.

Chorus

Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Throughout the world be his great name adored, Make his praise glorious, Saviour victorious, Let ev’ry thing that have breath praise the Lord.
