Mercy
Fanny J. Crosby • English
Primary Scripture: Psalm 89:1
Verse 1
I'll sing the glory of the Lord, His goodness I'll proclaim, And tell how great his mercies are To those that fear his name; Up to the everlasting hills I'll lift my waiting eyes, And there, with early morning light, My grateful prayer shall rise, And there, with early morning light, My grateful prayer shall rise.
Verse 2
I'll sing of Christ, the Holy One, Who bore the cross for me; His all-atoning sacrifice My precious theme shall be. High on his throne exalted now He sits at God's right hand; The only refuge of my soul, The rock on which I stand, The only refuge of my soul, The rock on which I stand.
Verse 3
I'll sing the mercy of the Lord, And praise him while I've breath; I'll trust in him whose rod and staff Will comfort me in death. Dissolve, O earthly house of clay, And let my spirit soar, With all the ransomed hosts above, To praise him evermore, With all the ransomed hosts above, To praise him evermore.
