There is a Friend above all others dear, Who is constant, faithful, and sincere; Whose mercy is wider than the widest sea, A Friend whose love from sin will free.

He’s my Savior, and my Redeemer, For me He suffered want and shame; He’s my Savior, and I adore Him, All glory be unto His name.

There is a Friend whose everlasting arm, Strong and mighty is to shield from harm; A Friend who is present in the time of need, A Friend who is a friend indeed.
