Reap what we sow! O solemn tho't! With what an awful meaning fraught Yet surely we to judgment go To reap just what in life we sow.

Reap what we sow! oh, when and where Shall this reward so sure appear? Beginning in God's church forgiv'n, 'Twill end in either hell or heav'n.

Reap what we sow! if to the flesh We yield, and God's true Spirit crush, We well may look for pain and death. They're sure to come in evil's path.

Reap what we sow! no wealth or pow'r Can help us in that judgment hour, Except the wealth of faith alone; We're sure to reap what we have sown.
