Saved Tonight

E. A. Fridenhagen • English

Primary Scripture: Hebrews 7:25

Verse 1

Down into my loneliness, sorrow and night, Illuming my soul with its radiance bright; There comes a sweet message of love and of light, That I may be saved tonight. That I may be saved tonight, That I may be saved tonight; There comes the sweet word of love and light, That I may be saved tonight.

Verse 2

For years in the darkness of sin I have trod, Neglecting my Saviour, despising His blood; Away from my home, and away from my God, Yet I may be saved tonight. Yet I may be saved tonight, Yet I may be saved tonight; Away from my home, my friends, my God, Yet I may be saved tonight.

Verse 3

I’m coming in weakness, my Saviour, to Thee, From sin and its bondage I long to be free; Receive me O Master, Thine own would I be, And I shall be saved tonight. And I shall be saved tonight, And I shall be saved tonight; Receive me O Lord, Thine own to be; And I shall be saved tonight.

Verse 4

The message of pardon at last I have heard, And take Thee as Saviour, Redeemer and Lord; I’ll doubt Thee no longer, but trust in Thy word, That I may be saved tonight. That I may be saved tonight, That I may be saved tonight; I’ll doubt Thee no more, but trust Thy word, That I may be saved tonight.
