Abbie Mills • English

Primary Scripture: Romans 12:12

Verse 1

Joy divine I now am finding, As I kneel before the throne, In the hour of sweet communion When shut in with God alone.

Chorus

Oh! how blessed is communion With my Jesus, Savior, King! When I hear His voice so tender, And I tell Him ev’rything.

Verse 2

In the dawning light of morning, Haste I to the mercy-seat; Brighter than the rising sunbeam Is the glory ‘round His feet!

Chorus

Oh! how blessed is communion With my Jesus, Savior, King! When I hear His voice so tender, And I tell Him ev’rything.

Verse 3

When the noontide cares oppress me, And the world forbids me rest, Then I breathe the pray’r unspoken, While I lean upon His breast.

Chorus

Oh! how blessed is communion With my Jesus, Savior, King! When I hear His voice so tender, And I tell Him ev’rything.

Verse 4

Weary, ‘mid the shades of ev’ning, Sighing over trials strong, Then I feel His arm beneath me, And my heart is filled with song.

Chorus

Oh! how blessed is communion With my Jesus, Savior, King! When I hear His voice so tender, And I tell Him ev’rything.

Verse 5

In the light and in the shadow, All the time and ev’rywhere, I am needing this communion Found alone in secret pray’r.

Chorus

Oh! how blessed is communion With my Jesus, Savior, King! When I hear His voice so tender, And I tell Him ev’rything.
