Servants of the Christ

Verse 1

Servants of the Christ your Savior, He will guide you through His word; Ye have heard the call to labor In the harvest of the Lord.

Go ye forth and preach the Gospel! Take the Spirit's power supreme! Offer full and free salvation: Christ is able to redeem.

O the sweet old Gospel story With its power to release; Prophets long foretold the glory Of the coming Prince of Peace.

Plunged in sin and worldly sorrow, Men are tempted to despair; Point them to the cross of Jesus, They will find deliverance there.

When the weary, way-worn pilgrim, With his heavy load is found, Bid him look away to Jesus, Hope and strength in Him abound.

Then, when all life's work is ended, And we lay our trophies down, We will join the heavenly chorus, And our Master, victor crown.
