Primary Scripture: Exodus 15:26-27

Verse 1

Silent night, holy night; sleeps the world; hid from sight, Mary and Joseph in stable bare watch o'er the child belovèd and fair sleeping in heavenly rest.

Verse 2

Silent night, holy night; shepherds first saw the light, heard resounding clear and long, far and near, the angel-song: 'Christ the Redeemer is here!'

Verse 3

Silent night, holy night: Son of God, O how bright love is smiling from thy face; strikes for us now the hour of grace, Saviour, since thou art born!

Verse 4

Silent night, holy night. All is calm, all is bright, round yon virgin mother and child; holy infant, so tender and mild, sleep in heavenly peace.

Verse 5

Silent night, holy night. Shepherds quake at the sight, glories stream from heaven afar, heav'nly hosts sing alleluia: Christ the Saviour is born.

Verse 6

Silent night, holy night. Son of God, love’s pure light radiant beams from thy holy face, with the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
