Where art thou steering, brother, While sailing o’er life’s sea? Before thee are the breakers, And danger there may be.

The Light, The Light, my brother! It stands on yonder height, Christ marks the path of danger, His word the Beacon Light.

Oh, many barks have stranded, Where quick-sands hidden lie! Then keep within the channel, The Light before thine eye.
