The Mansions Over the River

In my Father’s house are mansions, Many mansions for the blest; Where the Lord will gladly welcome All that seek the promised rest.

’Mong the mansions o’er the river, There is one for me I know; By and by to live forever, To that mansion I will go.

Verse 2

Hear the promise of the Savior, “I’ll prepare a place for you;” We’ll receive the blessed favor, Take the home all bright and new.

In that place of endless beauty, There are many treasures rare, Gathered on the way of duty, To be cherished over there.

In that happy home supernal, In that land beyond the tide, We shall meet to live eternal, With our loved ones at our side.
