Verse 1

The wind that brake the rocks, and rent The mountains in its path; The earthquake and the fire that went Before the Lord in wrath, Came not as spoilers to the prey, But heralds to prepare His way.

Verse 2

Himself the still small voice made known, In all His power and grace; So be to me his mercy shown, Terror to love give place: Than will I hide my face, and stay To hear what God the Lord will say.
