Thine, Wholly Thine
Fanny J. Crosby • English
Primary Scripture: Romans 5:11
Verse 1
There’s a joy that no thought can express, And a rapture no words can define; But it thrills every chord in my soul, For I know, blessed Lord, I am Thine.
Chorus
I am Thine, wholly Thine, And my all to Thy will I resign; I am Thine, wholly Thine, Through the gift of Thy grace I am Thine.
Verse 2
There’s a joy that is born not of earth, And it tells me, in language divine; That I live in the breath of Thy love, As the branch draws its life from the vine.
Chorus
I am Thine, wholly Thine, And my all to Thy will I resign; I am Thine, wholly Thine, Through the gift of Thy grace I am Thine.
Verse 3
There’s a joy that no sorrow can reach, For it sweeps every cloud from the sky; How it breaks in the midnight of gloom! And its light is the smile of Thine eye.
Chorus
I am Thine, wholly Thine, And my all to Thy will I resign; I am Thine, wholly Thine, Through the gift of Thy grace I am Thine.
Verse 4
O that joy in my heart will I sing, Till I rise in Thy likeness to shine; Then for ever and ever proclaim, Thro' the gift of Thy grace I am Thine.
Chorus
I am Thine, wholly Thine, And my all to Thy will I resign; I am Thine, wholly Thine, Through the gift of Thy grace I am Thine.
