Thou, Lord, Hast Dealt Well with Thy Servant

Verse 1

Thou, LORD, have dealt well with Thy servant, Thy promise is faithful and just; Instruct me in judgment and knowledge, For in Thy commandments I trust.

Verse 2

Before my affliction I wandered, But now Thy good Word I obey; O You, Who are holy and gracious, Now teach me Thy statutes, I pray.

Verse 3

The proud have assailed me with slander; Thy precepts shall still be my guide; Thy law is my joy and my treasure, Though sinners may boast in their pride.

Verse 4

Affliction has been for my profit, That I to Thy statues might hold; Thy law to my soul is more precious Than thousands of silver and gold.
