To the cheff Musician. A Psalm for the Sons of Korah

Verse 1

Clap hands all people, shout for joy To God with voice of singing mirth.

Verse 2

For dreadful is the Lord an high, A king most great o'er all the earth.

Verse 3

To us the people he subdues, And nations at our feet do lie. For us our her'tage he will chuse; His loved Jacob's glory high.

Verse 4

God is ascended with a shout, Jehovah with the trumpet's noise.

Verse 5

Sing praises to our king with voice.

Verse 6

For God of ll the earth is king, Praise him each understanding one.

Verse 7

Over the heathen God doth reign: God sits upon his holy throne.

Verse 8

Th' people of Abr'ham's God among Princes of people gathered be: For shields of th' earth to God belong, Exalted mightily is he.
