Verse 1

Trusting the merits of Thy blood, A wretched sinner, I Would seek Thy face, O Saviour God, Ruler of earth and sky.

Verse 2

Confessing all my sin and guilt Before Thy face I fall; O may that blood for sinner's spilt Relieve me of it all.

Verse 3

I know my soul deserves to die, But mercy's help I plead, O hear a wretched sinner's cry And lift my drooping head.

Verse 4

Thou awful judge of quick and dead, Thy promise I will trust, Thy path of faith my feet shall tread, Saved to the uttermost.
