Watch, O my soul! be on thy guard, In circumspection go, Press in the footsteps of the Lord, The world refuse to know; The world refuse to know.

Watch, O my soul! thine inmost tho't, For thou account must give For all thou'st spoken, felt or taught, Whilst thou in earth dost live; Whilst thou in earth dost live.

Watch where thou goest, what thou dost, The comp'ny thou dost keep; Be not among the goats, but cast Thy lot among the sheep; Thy lot among the sheep.

Verse 4

Watch, O my soul! tho' all forget, Behold the Lord is nigh; Thy thoughts and love on Jesus set, And sin and sense defy; And sin and sense defy.
