What Though the Tempests Rage

Helen R. Young • English

Primary Scripture: Deuteronomy 33:27

Verse 1

What tho’ the tempests rage around thee, Child of the living God? Fear not to tread with faith and courage Where thy Redeemer trod; Fail not to bear the gospel banner, Fear not the world’s cold scorn; Tho' now the night be dark with sorrow, Joy cometh with the morn.

Verse 2

Strong is the Hand that leads thee forward, Changeless the Father’s love; Dread not the surging waves below thee, Fear not the clouds above; Hold fast the promise of salvation, And to the end endure; Ever be faithful to thy calling, And thy reward is sure.
