Nisi Dominus

O Almighty God, we give you humble thanks for that you have vouchsafed to deliver this woman your servant from the great pain and peril of Child-birth:¹ Grant, we beseech you, most merciful Father, that she, through your help, may both faithfully live, and walk according to your will, in this life present; and also may be partaker of everlasting glory in the life to come; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.²
