Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ has overcome death, and opened unto us the gate of everlasting life;¹

We humbly beseech you, that, as by your special grace preventing us you do put into our minds good desires,²

so by your continual help we may bring the same to good effect; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.³
