Proper Prefaces

Glory be to God on high, and on earth peace, good will towards men.¹

We praise you, we bless you, we worship you,²

we glorify you, we give thanks to you for your great glory, O Lord God, heavenly King, God the Father Almighty.³

O Lord, the only begotten Son Jesus Christ; O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, who take away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us. You who take away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us. You who take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer. You who sit at the right hand of God the Father, have mercy upon us.⁴

For you only are holy; you only are the Lord; you only, O Christ, with the Holy Ghost, are most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen.⁵
