While this verse is a simple genealogical listing, one commentator points out that two of the men named, Mishael and Elzaphan, play a significant role later in the story. They are the ones Moses commands to carry the bodies of Aaron's sons out of the camp after they are judged by God for offering 'strange fire' (Leviticus 10:4). This shows that even names in a list can belong to people with important parts in God's plan.
