What Are 'Greater Works'?

Commentators overwhelmingly agree that 'greater works' does not mean more spectacular miracles than Jesus performed. Instead, it refers to the massive scale and impact of the gospel after His ascension. While Jesus' ministry was largely confined to Palestine, His followers, empowered by the Holy Spirit, would see the faith spread globally, leading to the conversion of far more people than Jesus did during His earthly life.
