A Literal Prophecy Fulfilled

Commentators emphasize the stunning historical accuracy of Jesus's prediction. About 40 years later, in A.D. 70, the Roman army under Titus did exactly as Jesus foretold. The historian Josephus records that they built a wall, or 'trench,' nearly five miles long around the entire city to 'keep them in on every side,' leading to its eventual fall.
