Two Kinds of Redemption
Commentators explain that "redeemed" has a dual meaning. Historically, it refers to God rescuing Israel from physical enemies, like in the Babylonian captivity. Spiritually, and most importantly for Christians, it points to the ultimate redemption from sin, Satan, and death through the work of Jesus Christ. Both deliverances are profound reasons for praise.
