A Prophecy of Christ's Coming

The vast majority of commentators, along with the New Testament author of Hebrews (10:7), understand this verse as the words of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. When Old Testament sacrifices proved insufficient to atone for sin, Christ declared His readiness to come into the world. His arrival was to fulfill God's will by offering Himself as the perfect and final sacrifice, a work no animal offering could accomplish.
