Charles Ellicott Commentary Proverbs 12:6

"The words of the wicked are of lying in wait for blood; But the mouth of the upright shall deliver them." — Proverbs 12:6 (ASV)

The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood — that is, are calculated for this end.

The mouth of the upright shall deliver them — that is, those for whom the wicked lie in wait.
