"Jesus answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves." — John 6:43 (ASV)

Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

"I never thought you would believe in me; I never imagined that I would win your confidence."

Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Murmur not among yourselves.

It was a muttering that was scarcely audible, but Jesus heard it, and he checked it. The Lord cannot take any delight in murmuring: Murmur not among yourselves.
