"The Jews answered and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a demon?" — John 8:48 (ASV)
Then answered the Jews, and said to him, Do we not say rightly that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil?
You know this form of answer; it is an old trick, when there is no case, abuse the plaintiff. So, when there is no answer to what Christ has said, call him a Samaritan, and say that he has a devil.
