The Litany and Suffrages

O Lord, arise, help us, and deliver us for your Name's sake.¹

O God, we have heard with our ears, and our fathers have declared unto us, the noble works that you did in their days, and in the old time before them.²

O Lord, arise, help us, and deliver us for your honour.³

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;⁴

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

From our enemies defend us, O Christ.⁵

Graciously look upon our afflictions.

Pitifully behold the sorrows of our hearts.⁶

Mercifully forgive the sins of your people.

Favourably with mercy hear our prayers.⁷

O Son of David, have mercy upon us.

Both now and ever vouchsafe to hear us, O Christ.⁸

Graciously hear us, O Christ; graciously hear us, O Lord Christ.

O Lord, let your mercy be shown upon us;⁹

As we do put our trust in you.
